  • Your favorite book or devotional 💛

☀️ Southern California: More Than a Destination

SoCal. It’s flow. It’s sunshine. Waves of movement. It’s hang loose, it’s whatever you want it to be.

That’s why the song goes, “Any time of year, you can find it here…”

To me — it’s H O M E.

Born and raised in Southern California, this place is woven into my spirit.

I pray that the sunshine and the laid-back energy sweep you off your feet — and that maybe, just maybe, you find a little piece of home here, too. 🏡✨

🌅 24 Hours of Sunlight & Soul by the SoCal Coast

Featuring: El Segundo, Culver City, Venice & Manhattan Beach

But first, a note…
These are only suggestions. This is your tripyou are the mapmaker.
Use this as a gentle guide, but my advice is always:
✨ Wander outside the lines.
✨ Take the side streets.
✨ Follow your curiosity — responsibly.

🌞 MORNING: Intention, Movement & Coffee

🍋 Start soft and slow

Begin with a cup of warm lemon water in your favorite California-vibes mug.
Open your journal and write for 5 minutes — stream-of-consciousness style.
(If you’re familiar with The Artist’s Way, these are your “Morning Pages.”)

🧘‍♀️ Move your body — intuitively:

Choose based on your energy:

  • Just landed? Try gentle or heated yoga — explore ClassPass for studios nearby.
  • Feeling fresh? Run the Manhattan Beach Pier.
  • Adventurous? Take a surf class — Soul Surf Sessions is an option with great reviews! 🏄‍♀️

☕ Coffee + Breakfast Ritual

  • Goodboy Bob — Their elevated breakfast burrito (chapati-style) is chef’s kiss. Or grab a flaky pastry and take it to the pier to enjoy the sound of waves and watch the surfers.
  • Café Luxxe — A classic LA coffeehouse. While you wait, pop into Notes Bookstore next door for some quiet inspiration.
  • Uncle Bill’s Pancake House — Craving something hearty? Their Manhattan Omelette is filling and on-brand. Plus, the view? Unreal. Bonus – Head over to Dacha Interiors next door while you wait for your seat.
  • Craving the local experience? Grab your breakfast at one of these neighborhood grocery stores — Whole Foods, Erewhon, or Trader Joe’s. 🛒 From fresh salads to smoothies, you name it! I always love visiting local markets when traveling — it’s the best way to embrace the everyday life of a new place.

Whatever you choose — keep it light. Go with what feels good and don’t overthink it.

Say a quiet prayer before you eat. Taste every bite.
This morning is yours

🎨 AFTERNOON: Creativity + Community in Venice

Hop in the car, roll down your windows, and press play on your SoCal Spotify playlist. You’re off to iconic Venice Beach / Abbot Kinney!

🛍️ Window shop with intention:

  • Burro — A stationery lover’s heaven. Grab a card for someone you love.
  • Boutiques — Wander and observe. What clothing styles do you like? What styles don’t you like? This is creative training — the art of discovering (or redefining) you. 💫
  • Crudo – Clean beauty. Treat yourself to something that makes you feel lovely ☺️
🍦 Pro Tip: Salt & Straw — Sample everything. Trust me, Chocolate Gooey Brownie never fails.

💆‍♀️ Optional Midday Additions:

1) Luxury Moment: Treat Yourself

Book a facial with Laura at Osea Skincare Studio (@brightlybalancedskin). She’s a miracle worker!

Come early and enjoy the outdoor garden with their complimentary warm tea. Listen to the birds, the hum of Venice traffic. Let this remind you:

In the midst of the chaos, there is always a peace that lives within you.
Breathe. Gently rub your palms together. Close your eyes.

That’s all it takes to come back to your version of “home” time and time again.

2) Explore: Venice Canals Walk

Stroll through the dreamy Venice Canals.
Notice the homes. Which ones speak to you? Take notes — these may belong on your next vision board!

Play a podcast, audiobook, or simply tune into the rhythm of your surroundings.

If you choose music/podcast/audiobook, let it be thoughtful — remember your mind is a temple, a sacred space for peace and beauty.

💛 A gentle reminder:

Smile at the people who pass by.
They’re part of your adventure, too.

🌇 EVENING: Dinner & Golden Hour

By now, your soul is full — but your stomach might not be >.<
Choose the evening vibe that fits your mood:

Spicy & Social:

  • Bianca – Culver City
  • Elefante – Santa Monica
  • After dinner, head to a live music bar nearby. Dance a little. ChaCha responsibly — especially if traveling solo 💃

Balanced Blend (Chill/Fun):

  • Esperanza or Sugarfish – Manhattan Beach
  • End your day where you started: Manhattan Beach Pier at golden hour

Dinner Bonus:

  • Craving conversation and community? Sit at the bar.
Not your usual move? Try it! You’re on vacation — stretch gently =)
  • Prefer a solo moment? Wait for a table. People-watch.

Whatever you choose, begin your meal with a prayer. 🙏

🌙 NIGHT: Reflection, Rest & Grace

Now pause.
Return to compassion — for yourself, for whatever showed up for you today.

Remember the sand you saw earlier? Maybe you felt it beneath your feet, soft and grounding.
Let it remind you:
God says He loves you more than the grains of sand.

“How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand —
when I awake, I am still with You.”
Psalm 139:17–18

And those palm trees you passed? Standing tall, rooted in sunlight and soil?
So are you.
Rooted and secure — not in circumstances, but in Him.

“Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked,
or stand in the way that sinners take,
or sit in the seat of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on His law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season,
and whose leaf does not wither —
whatever they do prospers.”
Psalm 1:1–3

Say a soft prayer.
Exhale it all. Lay it at His feet.

If rest feels distant, try:

Boa noite. Buenas noches.
