Dear friend,

There’s a quote I came across recently while reading a Jodi Picoult book: “Sometimes, it’s necessary to reteach a thing its loveliness.” The words stopped me in my tracks and carried me back almost a decade, to the very first time I picked up Geneen Roth’s Women, Food, and God.

That book became a vessel God used in my life during a season of deep pain. Through its pages, He planted seeds of hope and love in me when I needed them most. Many years have passed since then, but I will never stop giving thanks. Because only through His grace and mercy were my deepest wounds transformed into instruments of His greater purpose.

That’s why I wrote Soul Care.
It was born from a desire to share that same light and encouragement — to remind women, in every chapter of their lives, that they are seen, loved, and never alone.

I hope that Soul Care can be more than just a book you read once. I hope it becomes a companion on your journey: something you carry with you on adventures, leave in a bookshop for the next traveler, revisit during different seasons of life, read a chapter here and there, and return to whenever you need a gentle reminder of God’s love. See it as a friend who walks with you through life’s changing landscapes, offering hope and encouragement along the way.

This book was four years in the making — a journey that became just as meaningful as the finished work. Writing, creating, and partnering with community to bring this project to life was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. God used the process itself to stretch me, refine me, and remind me of how far His grace has carried me.

I’m humbled by every person who has picked up this book, and deeply grateful that all of its proceeds continue to support the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. I am also thankful to Covenant Books Christian Publishing for believing in this project, and to every reader who has supported this journey. Your prayers, encouragement, and love mean the world.

My prayer is that Soul Care will always be a book of hope — a gentle companion pointing you back to Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life. 💗. 💗

With love and gratitude,
Grace
