A COLLECTION: For the Girl Who's

For the girl Who’s.. about to start a New Chapter

“The only constant is change”. Boy, is that the truth! I feel I’m constantly embarking on New Chapters’- New living situations, new jobs, new responsibilities, new fires to put out, new demons, new titles (auntie, maid of honor, etc.) , new roles at work, etc..

One thing that always happens when I’m closing one chapter and starting the next is this sudden wave of self-doubt. It’s in that moment where I am standing at the pitchfork in my life journey that the enemy pops out from behind the bushes and starts reminding me of old mentalities and mindsets. Whispering lies like “Who do you think you are?” “That “new woman” you’ve been for the past few months was cute, but she’ll fade away in no time and you’ll be back to your old ways”

But God is so faithful. Because above those lies I hear Him so clearly telling me, “I gave you a new name!” When you handed your heart and life to me- I gave you a new identity, a new purpose, and a new story. No matter how many times you may stumble, you don’t ever have to worry about going back to that old self because she’s no longer there. That woman that I gave the vision to- she is the true you. So here I am. Closing my “Espana” chapter after 9 months of living in Madrid, and getting ready to move to London next weekend.

I know that in order to fulfill everything that God’s called me there to do- it’s going to require me to live each day as the best version of myself. It’s going to take waking up every morning and looking in the same mirror that God sees me as. I have no time for days that I am all up in my feelings or engaging in negative self talk.. Etc.

I’m writing this for the girl that’s getting ready for a new chapter. Don’t be surprised if you feel the enemy coming hard at you- it’s nothing more than a sign that he’s nervous because he knows what God has for you in the next chapter is so amazing that he’s pulling out all his tricks to stop you from pursuing it.

Remember, you haven’t come this far to only come this far!!!!

Here are 3 steps to encourage you to rise up and move confidently unto the path God has called you to:

  1. Prayer- Dear Jesus, make me more like you. Give me the courage to put every thought into captivity that doesn’t serve you. Remind me that the woman you gave the promise and vision to is still me and she will be me forever. When you gave me the vision, you gave me a new name, a new identity, and a new image. Clothe me in your strength and armor. Prepare a place for me at the table of power and give me favor and confidence. Give me the wisdom and obedience to follow in your path for me. Gird me with everything I need to do what you have called me to do. Allow me to use this day, this season, and these moments to glorify and praise you my Lord. Hallelujah, my King!
