I AM WISE

Brave: is the woman staring at you in the mirror

Are the dreams God’s placed in your heart for this year going to require you to elevate yourself to a standard which you’ve never operated at before?

More endurance. More focus. More Boldness.

I heard an interesting statistic the other day while listening to Cara Alwill’s “Style Your Mind” podcast. She mentioned that January 17th “Ditch New Year’s Resolution Day” is known as the day when people give up on their New Years resolutions.

After listening, it got me wondering what is it that separates the Oprahs, the Mohammad Alis, etc. from those we never hear about?

After doing some light research, it seems the secret is heavily tied to one’s beliefs. (More on this in Tony Robbins’ podcast “#1 Decision you will ever make)

The more I draw near to God (by reading His word), the stronger I believe in myself and the God I serve because:

  • My eyes are opened to the truth about who I am: Anointed. Powerful. Loved. Capable
  • My eyes are opened to the truth about He who lives within me: “The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” Isaiah 40:28

When faith becomes fickle, lean into God and let His strength sustain you. Receive it. Let Faith Rise up!

Below are quick tips to do this week to stir up your faith:

  1. Morning Meditation– Make spending time with God in the morning a priority
  2. Prayer– When your alarm goes off before getting out of bed say a short prayer, “Good morning God. Thank you for this new day. How can I use it be a blessing?”
  3. Affirm– Choose a verse to meditate on throughout the week
  4. Make space to Dream: Take 10 minutes this week to let your mind wander and dream. Chat with a friend about your dreams. Write them on a google doc, screenshot, and make them a screensaver. Point is: Keep those dreams in sight!
  5. Open Eyes: Pray Ephesians 1:15-23 over your life this week!
  6. Heart Check: Ask yourself: Are your actions aligning with your vision? What do you need to let go of to truly step into your God given identity? (If you’re not sure, pray for God to reveal it to you!)
  7. Connect with Community: Call a trusted friend/mentor/counselor and encourage each other in your faith walks!

How do you stir up your faith? I would love to hear in the comments!

From my heart to yours,

Grace
