Ever find yourself in not the most “godly” of situations?
This happened to me on a recent trip to Cabo, Mexico.
I wasn’t convinced the trip was exactly ‘from God’, but the tickets were booked so I was going.
Leading up to the trip I was anxious, but I overcame it by confessing daily:
“In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” – Romans 8:28
And you know what? God used that trip to show me just how powerful His mercy, love, and amazing grace is.
How comforting is it to know that no matter how far we stray- if we simply call out to Him in prayer instead of turning away in shame- He listens and hears. Not because of how good we are, but because of how good HE is.
“In distress you called, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder”- Psalm 81:7
“Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear”- Isaiah 65:24
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast”- Ephesian 2:8-9
Don’t be fooled into thinking that you can ever stray too far from God- there is no hiding from Him, He loves to hear from you, He wants a relationship with you, and He loves to say YES to your prayers!
Maybe you’re in a situation that you’re not sure how you got yourself into it, and you’re not sure how to get yourself out of it- Sister, take that worry, that weight, that everything- and place it at His feet.
He will use even this experience as an opportunity for Him to reveal His loving and merciful character to you.
